We encourage humans (adults and kids) to wear costumes, too! It’s free to enter the human costume contest/parade at 2:25, just before the Howl’oween dog parade begins at 2:30. Just be signed-in at the registration tent to get your entry number. Humans should wear entry number on their torso area. Those without and those with a dog will be considered for the cash prizes in the human costume contest. Awards will take place about 3:30 in the open park area behind the vendor row. Prizes are cash for the humans. You do not have to enter dogs in the parade. Just come watch the parade, or walk in the parade in your costumes, with or without a dog. Dogs are welcome to watch the parade if they stay behind the white row of chairs or in your lap. Kids and dogs are not allowed to sit in front of the front row of chairs. Seating is available (if not sold out) for $5/cash at the event. You can bring your own chair and sit on the second row.
ALL entry fees go to Justin Rudd’s nonprofit Community Action Team (CAT), focusing on events/projects for kids, dogs and beach cleanups. You can register til 3 p.m. on event day.
