Long Beach’s beloved summer tradition, Moonlight Movies on the Beach, is back for another unforgettable season!
Supported by the community, this free outdoor movie series turns Granada Beach into an open-air cinema where locals and visitors can enjoy iconic films under the stars—just steps from the shoreline.
Whether you’re reliving your favorite 80s classic or introducing your kids to a beloved animated film, Moonlight Movies offers a laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere that captures the spirit of summer in Long Beach.
2025 Summer Movie Schedule at Granada Beach
Get your beach chairs ready—this year’s movie lineup is packed with fan favorites:
- June 17 – The Goonies: Kick off the season with this timeless treasure-hunting adventure.
- June 24 – Dirty Dancing: Nobody puts Baby in a corner—especially not on the beach.
- July 8 – 10 Things I Hate About You: A 90s teen rom-com that never gets old.
- July 22 – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off: Because life moves pretty fast.
- August 5 – Grease (Sing-Along): Get ready to sing and dance with Danny and Sandy.
- August 12 – Lilo & Stitch (Original): Ohana means family—bring yours for this heartwarming animated favorite.
All movies are shown at Granada Beach (5101 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90803). Screenings begin at dusk, usually around 8:00 PM.
What to Bring

Parking is available along Ocean Blvd and in nearby public lots, but it fills up fast on movie nights.
