Children’s Maritime Institute

Children’s Maritime Institute is the Long Beach division of the Los Angeles Maritime Institute that uses tall ship sailing to help young people grow. Its TopSail Youth Program takes upper elementary, middle and high school students dockside and out on the harbor to set sails, study marine life and test water quality, and it has served over 140,000 students in more than 30 years.
