Operation Jump Start

Operation Jump Start is a Long Beach nonprofit that helps low-income, first-generation students get into, stay in and graduate from four-year colleges. Founded in 1994, it pairs students with mentors and offers college access and success programs, wellness and mental health support, and a youth leadership ambassador program. Locals can become mentors, volunteer, sponsor or donate.
